At Kumar Printers, we take our responsibility towards the environment very seriously. We are committed to following sustainable business practices in order to reduce our footprint on the planet. We do not want quality and trust to be our only legacies; we also wish to leave behind a green planet for future generations.
We comply with all the environmental, legal, health and safety guidelines laid down by local legislative bodies. Each new product that we develop is carefully designed with a focus on sustainability. We strive to educate our employees, suppliers as well as contractors about environmental, health and safety issues.
ZERO WASTE
Kumar Printers take great pride in being a “Zero trade discharge” company. All the water used is treated, recycled and reused. We are also a solid waste recycling positive company. We treat and dispose of industrial waste strictly according to the government regulations. We promote the use of raw material from sustainable sources. The majority of the inks that we use are vegetable oil based. We stock and offer high recycled content papers as an option to our increasingly environmentally conscious customers.
Our Environmental Management System is ISO 14001:2004 Certified.
FSC
FSC The Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC®) Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification has been granted to Kumar Printers, certifying that we meet the strict tracking requirements for ensuring that products sold as FSC®-certified come from well-managed forests.
The FSC® CoC certification is a must for a printer to be able to offer FSC® certified products with the FSC® logo.
An independent certifying body audits our purchases, storage, use and sale of FSC® certified paper to check that it is in accordance with the regulations laid down by the FSC®. This independent auditing gives the customer confidence that the paper used in their printed product does indeed come from a responsibly managed forest.
