RIGID BOX SERVICES FOR OUR UK CUSTOMERS

Rigid boxes occupy a niche in paperboard packaging that is associated with luxury or high-end products. These are thicker and sturdier than cartons and corrugated/litho-laminated packs. Most consumers are familiar with rigid boxes as these are used to package mobile phones, high-end cosmetic products, jewelry, whiskies and chocolates.

Rigid boxes are best suited for products that need to stand out on the store shelf and project a brand identity that embodies quality and luxury.

Here at Kumar Printers, we are delighted to offer our rigid box services to our customers across the UK. From box design to production and delivery, our team would be able to assist you through every step of getting your packaging to the market.

Structural Design and Sampling Services

Rigid boxes come in many shapes and sizes:

  1. Two-piece Rigid boxes: These consist of a “lid” and a “bottom”. Common examples are shoe boxes and rigid boxes for mobile phones.

  2. Matchbox style: Also called slipcase style, these boxes resemble the sliding design of a matchbox, with an outer lid and a sliding inner drawer. These are commonly used for jewelry.

  3. Flip-top boxes: These luxury rigid boxes have a lid that is attached to the box via a hinge and can be kept shut using a magnet or a clasp.

  4. Collapsible Rigid boxes: These boxes resemble flip-top boxes when constructed, but can be shipped and stored completely flat to maximize freight and storage efficiency.

The inside of each box can be configured based on the product to be stored and shipped and is normally constructed of paper or foam.

There are also many finishes that can be considered for the outside of the boxes, from high-end printing, matte or gloss textures, embossing and debossing as well as foiling effects.

We provide fully customized packaging and designs that meet the needs of your business and product. We offer a complimentary design and sampling service where we would be happy to advise you on the best options for the structure and finishes of your box.

As part of our process, we provide samples of all packaging that is developed for our customers, so that you can assess the finish and quality of the product at every stage of the development cycle.

Quotation Services

We provide a free-of-cost quotation service. If you have currently in-use packaging that you are interested in procuring from us, our team will calculate and share a no-obligation quote for you to assess.

In case you are interested in developing new packaging with our product development team, they will take into consideration your budget and design the packaging with that in mind.

We suggest a minimum order quantity of 1000 rigid boxes, in order to ensure the optimal balance between production costs and value-added via cost savings.

We are happy to offer quotes for either production only (ex-works), delivery to a UK port by air or sea, or directly to your warehouse, as per your preference.
